    With temperatures below 40 degrees expected for Escambia County Wednesday, Dec. 10, Waterfront Front Rescue Mission will open its doors to those seeking refuge from the cold beginning at 3:30 p.m. today. Waterfront will remain open as a cold weather shelter overnight Thursday, Dec. 11. Waterfront Rescue Mission is located at 348 W. Herman Ave. in Pensacola.
  • Reminder: BCC to Hold Regular Meeting Dec. 11

    The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners will hold its regular meeting Monday, Dec. 11. Community Redevelopment Agency begins at 4:25 p.m., Public Forum begins at 4:30 p.m., and the Regular BCC Meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. All meetings will take place in the board chambers of the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, located on the first floor of 221 Palafox Place.
  • District 5 Cantonment/Farm Hill Neighborhood Cleanup Dec. 17

    Dec 10, 2025
    A neighborhood cleanup for residents in Cantonment/Farm Hill will take place Wednesday, Dec. 17. This is a chance for residents to dispose of items such as old furniture, appliances and household waste free of charge.

ABOUT US

The office of Community and Media Relations is responsible for coordinating county communications and releasing accurate and timely information to Escambia County residents, the media and Board of County Commissioners’ employees. CMR acts as a full-service communication office for county departments, assisting with heightening awareness of the county’s mission, programs, policies, initiatives, and services in order to foster good relationships with our citizens and media partners. CMR also works in the field and is available to the media 24/7 for emergencies.
